Goals of Forgotten Cats
Short Term:
Obtain funding and manpower so we can help all those individuals needing assistance;
- Increase our network of foster homes so that all kittens and adoptable adult cats can have a second chance as a domestic pet;
- Ensure that every kitten and cat is sterilized before finding a new home;
- Ensure that each colony is trapped in its entirety so that the population growth will be zero;
- Educate people about feral cats and the fact that euthanasia is not an effective means of controlling, or reducing population and why;
- Increase the number of homeless cats sterilized by Forgotten Cats from 600 per month to 800 per month.
Long Term:
- Expand our TNR facilities to Maryland and New Jersey by starting clinics in these areas;
- Increase the number of cats sterilized by Forgotten Cats to 20,000 per year;
- Ultimately eliminate unwanted cats within a 100 mile radius of Wilmington.
